Maine well drillers are required to report each bedrock water well drilled in the state to the Maine Geological Survey (MGS). MGS stores the data and shares it upon request and via a simple web map. To encourage higher reporting compliance by the drillers, MGS built this map-based data explorer tool with the hope that it might serve as a value-added resource for the drillers to plan their work, review performance, and market their businesses.
